The POV.1.5M is a special package designed for motorsports which includes the brand new POV.1.5 as well as the POV Power 12V package! This kit will give you everything that you need to start filming all of your motorsports immediately.
The single limitation of using the POV.1 and the newer POV.1.5 for motorsports is that it was powered by AA batteries which, while convenient, did prove to be a problem whether you were do a weekend track day trip or if you were going touring across Africa. Now that problem is no more!
To solve this for you we brought you the POV Power 12V adapter which connects to the back of the unit to replace the AA batteries and allowed you to hard wire the cameras power source to the vehicle battery. So you you are no longer limited by the batteries, you are only limited by how long the road is!
The primary uses for this kit are in-car power, motorcycles, quads, dirt bikes, and snowmobiles. Plus the adaptation battery cover has a built-in 8mm (quarter inch) thread which lets you mount the recording unit anywhere around the vehicle with a suction mount. Buying this package saves you £25 on all the pieces individually.

* The Wireless Remote Control
is a terrific advantage when compared to other cameras available on the
market. This works with Radio Frequency Technology so that it doesn't
need "line-of-sight" to operate.
* A range of adaptable mounts
for mounting the camera head to just about anything. There is a C-Clamp
that holds the camera tightly in place and the clamp is attached to one
of two mount attachments; the first is a base plate which has holes for
Velcro strapping or cable ties, there are adhesive pads that you can
use to stick it onto a flat surface. The second mount attachment is a
handle bar mount that fits all standard sized bicycle and motorbike
handlebars; this has also been mounted to the bars of hand gliders and
the like. The newest addition to the mounting kit is the Star Mount
which is adaptable to almost any surface. It comes with magnets so that
it can be mounted to a cap or any thin surface, this can also simply be
stuck to surfaces with the provided adhesive and velcro pads.
* The POV.1 records onto SD
card, a 1 or 2Gb will respectively give you 42mins and 1hr24mins when
recording at 720 x 480 which is the highest resolution and this is
close to DVD quality. If you would like to extend the recording time
you can browse through the menu and lower the resolution; at the lowest
res you can record 15hrs44mins onto a 2Gb SD card. Action Cameras has
recently found 4Gb and 8Gb SD cards that are compatible with the POV so
now you can get much longer overall recording time.
* The video editing software included lets you cut, mix, set and upload videos very easily.

The menu on the unit is very user friendly and allows you to customise
the sound levels, the picture quality and all other settings very
simply.
* For
downloading the footage from the POV.1 you have two options; you can
remove the SD card from the unit and load it into your PC or laptop or
simply use the supplied USB cable to download the footage to your
computer, Action Cameras find the later option easier. If you would
just like to review the footage you can use the supplied AV cable to
play it back straight onto your TV.

The POV1.5 records its videos using MPEG4, so you can use your Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Mac computer to view them.
Mac:
Plug the POV.51 into a USB port or insert the SD card into a card
reader in your computer. After a simple installation of quicktime
components for MPEG-4, you'll be able to browse all of the videos, view
them through Quicktime, and edit them in iMovie!
PC:
Install V.I.O.'s POV Manager software: simple, intuitive software
that allows you to view, edit, and share video easily. For example:
* A “POV Recorder” window shows thumbnails of videos saved on the
connected POV.1, and a “POV Library” window shows thumbnails of videos
stored on your hard drive.
* Drag and drop video clips from the POV
Recorder to the POV Library to move them between the POV1.5 and your
computer, or drag onto a play area to play them back in either actual
size or full screen.
* See tags on the timeline during playback, and extract clips to the “Storyboard” window to quickly edit your video.
* Use the “Share” function to email your clips and upload them to V.I.O. where they can be seen by your friends.
