Just released, the new camera from Drift Innovation – the Drift HD 720.

A fantastic lower cost HD cam offering similar features to it’s counter-part, the Drift HD. With a full colour LCD Screen and simple easy to use menu system, built-in mic and speaker for instant playback, 300° rotatable lens, remote control, sleek small lightweight design, and built tough enough to withstand a monsoon.

A few of the elements that make it different are: the 130° wide-angle lens field of view, lessening the rounded fisheye effect seen with 170° lenses; video records at 1280x720p HD, and 800x480 SD, meaning at 720p HD with a 32GB microSD card you could record a whopping 13 hours of footage; the 720 also has a 5 Mega-Pixel photo mode (the Drift HD has a 9MP Mode).

For adrenaline junkies seeking a helmet camera, or any sort of mounting camera for that matter, the Drift HD 720 is a brilliant cost effective option. With many of the features currently demanded and expected of sports cameras, it’s suited to snow, mountain, sky, dirt, and track environments. The dynamically shaped ‘bullet’ type design makes it great for speed, whether that’s on a motorbike, downhill bike, car, motoring around the racetrack, or carving it up on your skis or board down the slope.
