As for today’s update, I would like to bring you a feature, which sometimes goes overlooked, in your action camera - the photography options.
Most of the actual action/helmet cameras will offer you amazing high definition video recording; however, it does not stop there, you have a great photo mode too.
This can start at the standard 5 mega pixel quality but you can also get 9MP on the Drift HD, and up to a staggering 11MP on the GoPro HD2, what is very impressive for such small camera gadgets.
With this you would have enough image quality for reasonable size prints for all your extreme activities.
However, if you are a video lover you can still take advantage of this function through the time-lapse mode.
The time-lapse function allows you to take a series of still pictures at a pre-determined time gap, which run for hours (taking into account your cameras battery life).
This selection of still images can be stitched together through your editing software providing amazing video like effects.
So, there you have it. Your action camera can do much more than just great video recording and is just up to you to experiment, be creative and have fun with it.
