The GoPro App release date is finally upon us, available to download now on the iPhone App Store.

The release ends the wait for the much-anticipated accompaniment to the GoPro WiFi BacPac - you can grab yours right here from Action Cameras!

With the GoPro App 1.0 you will be able to operate and control your GoPro HD Hero2 helmet camera on your tablet or smartphone.

Use your iPhone or iPad as a viewfinder and frame your footage exactly as you want it. Access and change your cameras control settings and features via instant remote access, and monitor your cameras mode, resolution, memory capacity, battery life and more.

GoPro App

The App is currently unavailable on Android devices, and has limited functionality on iPhone 5 and iOS6, with more updates coming soon.

The App also has some upcoming features, with the ability to access content for previewing, browsing and file management expected soon, as well as the multi-camera control feature.

In order to connect the GoPro to the smart device, first the HD Hero2, WiFi BacPac and WiFi Remote must be updated with the latest firmware (see video below).

After these have all been updated, you can proceed to synchronise the camera to the App (see video below).

Download the GoPro App from the iPhone App Store here and get your GoPro WiFi BacPac from Action Cameras today!
