Using the built-in Bluetooth system, you can connect your Contour Plus 2 to your iOS or Android smartdevice via the Contour Connect App (range of 15 feet approx.).

With mobile connectivity now the must-have feature in this latest generation of helmet cameras (GoPro, JVC, iON and Sony all feature WiFi capability), the Contour Connect App holds a feature shared only with GoPro’s App in that you can preview your shot both before AND during recording.

This enables you to use your smart device as a remote to start and stop recording, with the added advantage of being able to stream exactly what you are shooting, while you are shooting.

You will also be able to function and alter the cameras settings with the App. This conveniently allows you to change between video resolutions and camera modes, without the hassle of dismounting and remounting the head-cam.

And the Contour Connect App’s settings function allows for some serious fine-tuning, with the user able to customise white-balance, contrast, sharpness exposure and more.

Another exciting feature improved upon from the Contour+ is Contour’s exclusive GPS system. With this system, you can use Contour’s Storyteller editing software to add video overlays (available for Mac & Windows).

So if you have just finished a high-octane tear round a rally track, you can use Storyteller’s video overlays to track your run on the map, and evidence your bravery as you measure your speed through the fast kinks and tight hairpins.

As for video, the Contour+2 features a sharpened 170° wide-angle lens for increased image quality. You can shoot in four HD settings, including 1080p at 30fps and 720p at 60fps, as well as shooting in SD 480p at 120fps for super slow motion.

It’s 5MP sensor allows for still photos and time lapse mode, with the option of taking a photo every 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45 or 60 seconds.

Contour’s signature bullet-style shape returns to keep the head-cam unobtrusive and discreet whilst it rests on your helmet, bike, board or car. This is further enhanced by its lightweight 5.5oz frame.

It has also retained the rotatable lens, a head-cam feature currently shared only with Drift Innovation cameras. Rotatable an impressive 270°, the Plus 2 can be mounted in almost any position and still produce correctly aligned widescreen video.

A locking slide-record switch ensures you will always know when the camera is recording, and the Plus 2 welcomes back the threaded tripod receiver from the Contour Roam for increased mounting options.

Not that Contour are in short supply of mounts, separately offering several mounting packs for your Helmet, Biking, Outdoors, Motorsports and Snow; as well as a wide range of individual mounts. All are compatible with the Contour TRails™ mounting system

Safely submerge your camera down to 60m deep, and coupled with the GPS system, you can track and share exactly which oceans, wrecks and reefs you have explored.
