This soft material won't scratch your helmet and protects the camera electronics against impact. The Blackeye comes with a woven head strap to wrap around your helmet, plus a variety of rubber helmet adaptors. The helmet adaptors fit the camera tightly on multiple shapes of helmets. (with some rare exceptions), the ergonomic shape perfectly adapts to your head, even without wearing a helmet. That gives you ultimate freedom filming sports where helmets are unnecessary.
The Blackeye provides state of the art video electronics for excellent quality recording. We use CCD video sensors which perform best in fast video applications. The Blackeye is powered by it's own battery pack. 8AA batteries provide enough juice for up to 8 hours of use. That's a lot longer than any battery of your recording device will last. Feel free to either use alkaline or rechargeable NIMH batteries. The integrated microphone adds kick and reality to your movies. Hear the spray of dirt, the impact of touchdown and the "thunk" of your ice axe. The Blackeye comes with easy-to-use cables. Just plug and play. The length of the cables cables make it convenient to handle your backpack while recording or when taking off your helmet. All plugs and jacks are self-explanatory.
