Shoot True HD Videos with the world's first true 1080p HD wearable camera with 30 frames per second recording
Maximum resolution, clarity and realism. 1920x1080 full HD resolution captures your most heroic moments with more detail than any other wearable camera currently available. Professional-grade HD, only from GoPro HD Helmet HERO.
GoPro HD Helmet HERO
With the GoPro HD Helmet HERO camera, you can also record at 960p "full frame" resolution for a maximum field of view at 30 frames per second. Certain sports like motocross, mountain biking, and skiing require the maximum viewing area to really capture your speed and technique. 1280x960 960p resolution gives you the largest field of view of any wearable camera.
Also shoot in 720p at either 30 or 60 frames per second. While smooth 30 frames a second video is sure to please the eye, 60 frames per second played back in slow motion straight blows the mind.
Say No to a narrow field of view
What good is HD video if you don't have a clear view of your knees and skis, your handlebars... or your friends' heads and legs? Just say no to narrow view video and feel like a hero each time you watch your GoPro HD Helmet HERO footage in the industry's widest 170° Surround Video™.
Looking for a slightly less-wide view to add variety to your video? 1080p is captured at 127° while 960p and 720p are captured at maxi-wide 170° wide angle.
HD Sound Included. Wind, be gone.
GoPro has got more hours in development of their sound recording system than most companies put into their entire camera. When you hit ludicrous speed and only hear enough wind sound to let you know you're hauling the mail... you'll appreciate GoPro's OCD approach to sound.
5 Megapixel Photo Modes
While you might be after HD video, you might also just want a 5MP photo for a nice big print. That's why the 170° lens is sharp from corner to corner, edge to edge... and why the 1.4 LUX low light performance is industry leading and why the 5MP sensor is a massive 1/2.5 inches.
2, 5, 10, 30, 60 seconds Auto-Photo Mode. Just press the shutter button and forget about it. The battery lasts for over 2 hours of shooting a photo every 2 seconds.
3-Photo Burst Mode. Shoot 3 photos in two second burst mode. GoPro purposely spaced the photos out over 2 seconds to give you sequence-friendly timing.
Self-Timer Mode. Grab your fellow HEROs and strike a pose. What's a camera without a bit of tradition? Get your self-timer on and GoPro!
Don't Worry with the Rugged Waterproof Housing
The waterproof housing for the GoPro HD Helmet HERO has a depth rating up to 180 feet or 60 meters.
